At South Ascot Village Primary School, we recognise that eSafety is fundamental to protecting and empowering our pupils in an increasingly digital world. Online safety encompasses four key areas of risk:
We are committed to providing a safe environment where children learn to navigate the online world confidently and responsibly. Through our comprehensive approach to eSafety linking to the Kapow scheme of work in Computing, we teach pupils how to recognise and manage online risks, develop positive digital citizenship and understand when and how to seek help.
This includes teaching children about healthy and respectful relationships, boundaries and consent, how to recognise and report concerns about abusive relationships, and what constitutes sexual harassment and abuse online.
Our eSafety education is embedded across the curriculum and supported by appropriate filtering and monitoring systems, ensuring that every child at our school is equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe online, both now and in the future.
