South Ascot Village School

Vision & Values

The SAVS Vision

At South Ascot Village School, we nurture curious, creative and determined learners who achieve excellence and thrive in a safe, inclusive community where everyone belongs.

Our Core Values

We believe passionately in our school and its community. South Ascot Village School is a special place that truly values each and every individual. Together, we have strength - as a united team, we move ever forward toward outstanding provision for all our families and children.

🐝 Care (Bee)

We support everyone's wellbeing, dreams and aspirations. We embrace diversity and create a culture where pupils feel safe, valued and respected. We work in partnership with families and our wider community to help every child flourish.

🐟 Determination (Fish)

We have the determination to succeed. No-one can tell us we can't or won't - we can and we will. We set high expectations for all pupils and support them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

🦉 Planning (Owl)

We plan for success to reach our shared goals. We design an ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum that gives all children the knowledge and skills they need for their next steps and for life in modern Britain.

🐱 Curiosity (Cat)

We encourage curiosity and enquiry, asking questions that open doors to new learning and challenge existing ideas. We develop pupils' love of learning and help them understand the world around them.

🦋 Growth (Butterfly)

We value the learning journey as much as the destination. We recognise that learning takes time and evolve our practice to extend learning experiences. We help pupils develop resilience and understand that mistakes are part of learning.

🐵 Creativity (Monkey)

We embrace creativity and innovation. We encourage thinking outside the ordinary, taking well-managed risks and blue-sky thinking. We provide rich experiences that develop pupils' talents and interests.

🕷️ Connection (Spider)

We make links and connections in our knowledge, relationships and learning to deepen our understanding. We help pupils develop positive relationships, work collaboratively and contribute positively to society.

We are committed to:

Together, as an extended family, we will ensure that South Ascot Village School continues to be a special place where every child can achieve, thrive and be prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life beyond our school.

This vision was developed in collaboration with our school community and will be reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our pupils and reflects our aspirations for their future.
