Year Six

Year 6 (Friday 6th March 2026 – Monday 13th March 2026):

Talk Homework:
Consider the following questions and be prepared to discuss on Friday. You can be as creative with the idea as you wish:

"If you could design the perfect day (for you), what would it look like?"

Reading:

Please read daily (for at least 10 minutes). Read aloud with an adult where possible! Log your reading in your reading record book. Over the course of the term, please try and read texts from across different genres (e.g. non-fiction, poetry, biographies and science-fiction).

Spellings and Sentences:

Below are the words to use for your sentences (and which you will receive house points for on the test on Friday). Two of the words relate to our new book and then the others focus on a Year 6 spelling rule:

utopia, dystopia, ferocious, precocious, pugnacious,
avaricious, voracious, audacious, judicious, tenacious

Number:

Firstly, complete your next 'Gig' on Times Tables Rock Stars. If you have already completed it for March then you are ahead of the game!

Next, we are going multiplayer this week! I have set a time limit of 60 minutes over the week for you to compete in the Festival area. This is where you play against people around the world. If anyone wins their lobby and can prove it (screenshots required), you will receive 100 house points. Feel free to play in the same lobbies as your friends and see where you finish.
