Ofsted Report
Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils,
We have now received the final report from OFSTED following our inspection on 18th and 19th November and I am pleased to attach a summary of this report.
This inspection was carried out under the new, OFSTED Common Inspection Framework that has been in place since September 2015.
We are delighted that we achieved a grade for overall effectiveness as ‘Good’.
We are particularly proud for the school to be judged as ‘Outstanding’ in the category of Personal development, behaviour and welfare – An area of school life that we, at South Ascot Village School (SAVS), recognise as being of paramount importance for children to succeed and is central to our school’s vision. Inspectors reported that:
"Excellent attitudes to learning have a strongly positive impact on pupil progress"
The overall ‘Good’ judgement reflects the huge amount of work that has taken place in the last few years to move the school forward and which continues to happen daily. The improvements that have taken place have only happened because of the support of the parents, the support of the Governing Body, the hard work of the children and the dedication and expertise of all the staff at SAVS; past and present. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome of this inspection – a true team effort!
A copy of the full report is available on our website and a paper copy can be available, on request, from the office. The report will also be published on the OFSTED website, in the next few days. Please take time to read the full report as it sets out where we currently are achieving as a school. The more detailed report details how the judgements were reached by the Inspectors and is full of positive comments about our school.
Once again, thank you for your continued support.
Miss Kate Rimell
Headteacher
